First, identify the failed stage

“Not working” can mean a download, installer, app-opening or login problem. Choose the stage you actually reached before changing files or settings.

Installation permission and protection

If Android asks whether your browser or file manager may install apps, review the specific app named in the prompt. You can allow that source for the installation you intend to perform, then remove the permission afterward.

That prompt is different from a harmful-app warning. Keep Play Protect and other system protection enabled. Do not turn them off as a generic solution to “app not installed.”

If the file is blocked for a security or identity reason, stop and use the source-check guide. Record the warning so support can address the actual problem.

Check the download and free storage

If the browser still shows progress, wait for it to finish on a stable connection. If it failed, remove the incomplete downloaded file and download a fresh copy from the same entry. Remove only the downloaded file; there is no need to remove your installed app for this step.

For a storage message, check available space in Android Settings. Installation needs room to unpack and store the app, so matching the file’s size exactly may not be enough. Remove files you no longer need or move your own media before retrying.

If Android says the file cannot be parsed, confirm that it is a completed APK rather than a webpage, image or archive.

Separate device compatibility from update conflicts

What you seeNext check
Not compatible with this deviceCompare the offered file’s requirements with your Android version
Conflicting package or incompatible updateCheck the existing app version and whether the new file is meant to update it
Generic “App not installed”Recheck the completed file, storage and whether another COME installation is present

A similar app name does not guarantee update compatibility. Do not uninstall to force a conflicting package through before checking account access. Follow update help for that situation. An unverified old APK is not a universal compatibility fix.

Send one clear description for support

If installation finished but COME will not open

Check your connection and reopen the app once. Note whether the app closes, stays blank or shows a message before the login screen. If it specifically requests an update, use the update guide. If the login form loads but your account cannot sign in, move to login help.

If the checks above do not explain the failure, keep the download source, filename, phone model, Android version and screenshot together. Describe what you tried and whether the phone already has COME installed. Avoid sending only “not working,” which leaves the failing stage unclear.

If your existing app still opens, choose Contact CS in the account menu, then use Customer Center. If no installation opens, use the routes on our help page. For an app that installs successfully but will not let you sign in, move to login help; that is a separate problem.

Useful answers

Your questions, answered.

Should I uninstall COME when an APK will not install?

Not as a first step. Check the exact error and account access first. Uninstalling can remove local data and does not explain a mismatched update file.

Why does Android say there is a problem parsing the package?

An incomplete or unsuitable file can cause a parsing error. Confirm the download finished and that you received an APK, then check device requirements and the source.

Does clearing COME’s data fix an installer problem?

It is not a routine installation fix and can remove local settings or your saved session. Start with the download, storage and installer message instead.
